Congratulations Beta Alpha!

Beta Alpha continues to have a positive and successful year. The chapter recently held their fall fundraiser to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  This year the chapter introduced a new event called Poker and Pancakes which was highly successful and the chapter raised $7188.40!  In Fall 2011, Beta Alpha has raised more than $28,083 for St. Jude's.  This is a significant increase and they are well on their way to a record setting year for fundraising. The spring fundraiser, Bulls At Bat, will be held in late March. This softball tournament is great fun and always generates support from the USF Greek community.  We hope some of our alumnae will join us as well.

Recently, the chapter completed their officer elections; Beta Alpha slated 24 elected officers and 6 appointed officers.  Because of the continued growth of the chapter, assistant officers were added in order to handle the increased workload.  Congratulations to the new chapter president, Amanda Snoddy, and the new collegiate-alumnae relations chairman, Jennifer Egan.  You can reach Jennifer at jegan2@mail.usf.edu.

If you would be interested in working as an adviser with the chapter, please contact Michelle Shimberg, Alumna Adviser, at 813-875-5900.  There are a few advisory positions still available.
